How to batch a week of content in one sitting
A two-hour process for producing a week of posts without the quality drop that usually comes with batching.
By the Sosial team
Batching gets criticised for making content feel mass-produced. That happens when people batch writing and publishing together. Separate the two and the problem disappears.
The two-hour block
- 20 minutes — choose. Pull five ideas from your backlog and cut them to three.
- 50 minutes — write. Draft all three captions without editing any of them.
- 30 minutes — edit. Read each one out loud and fix the opener.
- 20 minutes — schedule. Pick times, attach media, put them in the queue.
Write without editing
Editing while drafting is what makes batching slow and the results flat. Get all three drafts down first, then switch modes.
Leave one slot open
Batch four posts, not five. The open slot is for something timely that week — and it is what stops a batched week feeling like a batched week.
