    A thread works when each post could stand alone. If a post needs the next one to make sense, cut it shorter.

    No throat-clearing

    Delete "Let me explain", "A thread 馃У", and the rest. State the claim first.

    Keep promotional posts under 200 characters

    Short posts with a single clear link consistently outperform dense ones on X.

Common mistakes

  • Splitting a paragraph mid-sentence across two posts.
  • Threads with no payoff. The last post should land the point, not trail off.

Can I write a long post and let Sosial split it?

The composer warns you when a post exceeds 280 characters, so you decide where the break lands rather than leaving it to an automatic split.

Can I schedule the same thread elsewhere?

Yes. Target X, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon together. Each gets its own character limit applied.
